Tuesday.....
Well it is Tuesday and I hope the rest of the week fares better. It has already been a long and tedious week! My son stepped on a screw yesterday, smashed his nose (which is now bleeding), and I feel like my stomach is on fire!! Ugh! When things get bad, boy do they get ugly! So I am now hoping that the rest of the week is injury and sickness free days and filled with some sunshine and good food! Now enough whining!
I did manage between all of this to get some work done. I hope to get a lot more sewing and other craftiness done this weekend. It has been hard lately with all the renovation of the house, plus lazy days of summer. I am just day dreaming of vacation in September and then all the fun Fall will bring (apple picking, pumpkin picking). Fall and Winter are my favorite times of year! This year should be especially fun because my Son is going to be 3 and now knows who Santa is!!!

Here is another bean sprout bag that I added to the shop today! It has a little Earth on black and white polka-dot fabric! I love how the white dots look like stars on the black background! I have been busy lately with all kinds of surprise that I hope to share soon( maybe 1 or 2 of somethings that start with the letter B and ends with the letter K!)!
***************
Below is some lovely little finds from the weekend! I got 4 pieces of lovely fabric that soon shall be pouches and other fun things! I also got some yummy colored felt and embroidery thread (which is always hard to come by around these parts?). I can't wait to start using some of these! Ideas are always spinning in my head, it is finding the time to do them that is the problem :)

Ok lovelies..I hope everyone Else's week is off to a better start than mine :)

Enjoy your lemonade and ice cream before the summer ends!

Yay! It is finally Friday! This week felt really long and I could not wait until it was the weekend! I plan on trying to get some work done to day, but you never know what mishaps you may encounter. As of right now my house is without running water. So main broke and here I sit..waiting. Ugh.
*
Today I would like to share some of my favorite blogs that I visit almost daily! All of these Artist/Bloggers always have fun and interesting things to say! So get that glass of lemonade and start reading some blogs!

Nothing that exciting going on around here. I hope everyone else is week is moving faster then mine :) I have been sewing here and there, but mostly I have been working on my house. There is still so much work to do..it can be a bit overwhelming! I have been painting non-stop since the weekend and it still seems like nothing has been completed. Ugh.
*******
Here is my little moss terrarium! I love it so! He sits in my window and enjoys the sun! I have a special little deery friend from Germany who sits inside! Oh how the littlest thing can make me happy!
And if I haven't bored you yet with life full of nothingness here is a picture of last nights dinner! It was very yummy! A faux chicken sandwich on a fresh sesame bun with sweet and sour sauce coupled with sweet potato fries! It was a perfect dinner to fill my belly!
*******************
Well that's it for now. I will try to post again this week and make it a little more interesting. There may a wish list or some Etsy finds.....I guess we will have to see :)
Have a sweet Wednesday!

I hope everyone is having a good Friday so far! I woke up at 5am today so I am a little bit tired. I decided today would be the perfect day to share some of my favorite websites. This way you have the entire weekend to surf, shop, and gather ideas for holiday gifts! So here they are in no particular order!
1) The Small Object: I love the everything about this site! I visit it almost everyday to check up on her shop updates of adorable gifts, her steno for sneak peeks of products, awesome recipes, and sewing tips! Once you visit... you to will be addicted :)
2) Passive-aggressive notes : I think this site is ridiculously funny! It puts a smile on my face daily!
3) Fancy Flours: Whenever I want to make something special I take a gander at Fancy flours for the cutes and unique cupcake papers, and cake decor! Can you tell I love to bake!
4) decor8: This blog often makes me ask myself..why doesn't my house look like that! If you like interior design this is the blog for you!
5) Dancing Deer Baking Co: If you get lazy in the winter (like me) or you just have no idea what to get someone as a gift ? Try Dancing Deer for awesomely delicious goodies that everyone will enjoy! I have sent these to many family members with no complaints!
6) AuctionZip: I love antique furniture and just about anything pre-1930's! So my Husband and I often like to visit auctions when we can. This awesome site lets you put in your zip code and it gives you all the auctions going on in your area!

8) Spudart: This site is a blog/ gallery for Chicago Artist Matt Maldre. The entire site is filled with fun and interesting reads!

Ok I think that I will stop for now, but will share more soon!
Here are some snippets from my Garden. Above is my favorite stump in my yard which often makes appearances in my work :) I love how something dead can fill with life again.
My wild flower and sunflower garden is coming together nicely. I can't wait for the sunflowers to bloom! They are getting huge!

Off I go to run some errands and play outside with my little guy!

Hope everyone has a splish splash kind of day!

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope everyone's weekend was filled with sunshine and ice cream! We had a pretty eventful weekend. First my inlaws came to stay for the weekend, and then we went to a Estate auction. My Husband was really excited to go (they had lots of power tools). We really did not walk away with anything exciting. Saturday ended with a yummy meal ( roasted veggie quesadillas) and a even yummier desert (angel cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream). Sunday was a little more productive as far as work is concerned. I did manage to pull myself from Sunday lounging to finish some long awaited projects.

Here is a little snippet of something special I have been working on the last 2 weeks. I can't share with you yet what Mr. Whale is planning, but I hope you stay tuned for his reveal :)

And so it begins....
I have started to work on some winter cozies that should be starting to pop into the shop soon. This year I really am dead set on building my inventory early. Oh and I almost forgot! Have you met my stylish model Penguin ( he has just one name like Prince and Madonna) he will be showing up to model all sorts of warm accessories this winter!
Alright my little chicks I must be off to finish my sewing and housework! Hope your Monday is silly!

Lazy summer days...

It has been a lazy Tuesday around these parts. It is very humid and horrid! I hate when it is to hot to do anything. It really just puts a damper on your whole day. In non-lazy news I got to work a lot this weekend and yesterday! I have started to compile winter warmies for the shop :) I also an trying to get more of an inventory before the fall season. I kind of hate this time of year, the rush to get everything in order before the holidays. I like being able to create here and there and come up with new ideas at my own pace. I will post some new little sweets destine for their home in my shop :)
♥♥♥
I have this strange ritual I do ..and I wondered if others do the same? I am not a knick-knacky person by any means, but I do have some shelf mates. The weird thing is a usually make vignette's of any little shelf items I have. Above is an example of a grouping on my bookshelf. I do it all the time! I think I have OCD!
But even though I have a place for everything in my little vignette's......my work desk always looks like this (see below)! I am one messy worker bee!
♥♥♥

Well stay cool and make some frozen fresh fruit pops!
yum!

Why I love......
mymy! If you haven't check out her shop you have been depriving yourself of awesomely cute and quirky buttons! Perfect addition to any cardigan these 1 inch buttons offer a stylish and or opinionated accessory. I have listed below 3 of my favorites!
Girls with glasses rock harder! Such a true statement, and just because I wear black glasses does not make me bias :)

I love photobooths! This button always reminds me of one of my favorite books: "photobooth" by Babbette Hines. One of the coolest books and buttons ever!

Now I am differently not your typical house wife (just ask my Husband!) but I sure do love to bake! At Thanksgiving I am always in charge of all the desserts! I think this year I will wear my "I Bake" button to dinner!
♥♥♥
Now mymy is not just about buttons...she makes her own yarn , Zines, and is a HUGE supporter of Artist and Crafters! She has a website dedicated to selling, displaying, and giving info to independent artisans. I personally love her craft guide to all the up and coming events!
So if you need buttons, yarn, artisan support, or just to talk to a really awesome girl...head on over to mymy!

July 1st!!!
July is finally here (Happy Canadian day!). I gave the shop a new banner, but haven't decided if it is going to stay? I really am trying to get a "brand" going for myself. Right now is the time to think about all of this and to start getting all your ducks in order for the holiday season! That's right I said it ..Holiday season! Even though it is only July, you have to at least be thinking 3-4 months ahead of the game.
I added some new pretties to the shop! I have been playing around with this idea for a couple of months. And now my little Bean sprout bags have finally arrived and are sitting comfy in the shop! I am excited to offer this new "design your own" bag! A perfect new edition to my many bags :)

Also making an appearance in the shop is "Day dream" the new series of pouches! I have incorporated my love for linen, embroidery, and silhouette all into perfect pouch! I will be adding more of this style in the coming days!

Well my lovelies please come check out the shop and let me know what you think! Now off I go to paint and enjoy my coffee!
Happy Tuesday!
