I hope everyone is having a yummy labor day weekend! We celebrated with a weekend of family, baseball, and laughter. It was a nice, crazy, but nice weekend. I am trying my hardest to keep up with the blogs, the shops, and the websites! I think I need more arms!
So tonight I thought I would share some of my favorites on Etsy.
Recently I have been moving towards textures and geometric patterns. Its weird how different styles or designs go with certain moods. I have no idea what these things say about me, but I love them!
Above are the a set of three modern wood paintings by Focuslineart
not only are these paintings the most beautiful enamel shades, but they are also on pieces of tree trunk! I need these for my living room!

This apple green wrap by Bonzie is to die for! It is amazing and looks like it just step off of a Paris runway! I only wish I had somewhere to go? I think it would have to be a pretty amazing event for this lovely!

Below is something simple, but texturally brilliant. I love the warm fall colors, but I most enjoy the puffy knot scrunchiness that just calls me to twirl my fingers around them! I wish this cozy came in sweater form!

(by Soulybarb)

ok my sweets! Its time for some dinner, and we are having brunch! Wait is there a word for brunch dinner?
Maybe breakner? breadin? Breakdin???
Whatever its called, its good!

Hello my sweets!
Even though I am super busy as of late, I hope to be popping in more to update the blog.
I wanted to share all the little snippets that having been brewing. My B&M shop is up and running. We are on our 2nd full week of being open and I could not ask for a better 2 wks. Things have been busy and weeks fell like whirlwinds! Soon we should have a website for the B&M, which will feature all my favorite artist available at the shop and some itybitybags. I will post more when things are up and running. I have also been working on some new things for the itybity shop. It is hard finding the time to sew, but I am managing. With the holidays sneaking closer and closer I know I have to get moving on updating the shop and adding some surprises.

This idea as been swirling around in my head for a while. Believe it or not I think I made the first grumpy bear tissue cozy (yes, I said grumpy bear) like 3 months ago. Finally grumpy bear will be making his appearance for the fall season! He is beyond happy to be showing his pearly whites to the world!

So keep an eye on the shop for new surprises and watch here for soon to be holiday recipes, crafts and more!

I hope everyone has a cozy day, because I am freezing my buns off!

So in order to keep my spirits high I decided to post some of my favs on Etsy lately. I have really weird taste, that doesn't always go together. I think I have style schizophrenia

Hi everyone! It's Monday again and even though I will miss the weekend (sleeping in and big breakfast!) There is a whole new week to look ahead too!
I have been so busy lately with the house and the shop that my poor little bloggy has been forgotten :( So I made an extra effort today to stop by and make a post!
***********
Today seemed like a good day for some awesome finds that I am swooning over! Oh if I had money to spend..the damage I would do :)
**
This adorable and naughty bookplate makes me smile! I love it! I think any book lover would really enjoy these as a gift! This one is called "Don't be a blowhole" by onegoodbumblebee!
*******

I saw these great bags on Etsy's front age this morning! They are perfect for avocados or other delicate veggies! You get a set of 4 for $20! You can beat that price! So go check out GoodKarma's shop for these awesome bags and other Eco friendly products!
*********************

Ok, I saved this lovey for last! I am beyond pining for this amazing drum lampshade by MasseyandRoger! For one thing they have bunches of awesome budgie themed items, and second they have amazing shades! I love this budgie design and it come in white, aqua, and yellow! How cool would this look over your bed, or dining room table!

Featured Artist
This week as been full of crazy happenings and lost of rain! Today is the first day that the sun is starting to peek out of a blue sky! I already started the day by pulling down old paneling in the bedroom, and priming the walls. I really can't wait until I move in to my new studio! Although it will not be fixed up until next spring..I am still excited!
So today I decided to put a spotlight on some of my favorite Etsy artist! Their work is inspiring and full of imagination!
This piece by fricdementol titled: "Chez Moi" is dream like in its opac quality. I love the colors, patterns and the individualism of each expression.
"Little girl in lace" by mcatgarrison is soft and melancholy. The empty stare of the girl is mesmerising! I wonder if the lace collar is worm by choice or force? I also love the color of the paper used instead of the traditional white background. Stunning!
"Club Chair" by mywireempire reminds me of the pink chair I found at a church sale when I was in college. I absolutely adored this chair! I graduated from college 6 years ago..and still have the pink chair! My Husband hates the pink chair! After we bought our first home the chair was banished to the basement :(
So this simple yet amazing portrait of a pink chair brings back happy memories of reading and relaxing in my favorite pink chair!

My dream is to some day live on a farm. Just passing a farm gives me this unbelievable feeling of joy! This beautiful painting by Paintbox
called "Winter corn field" brings me closer to my farm! The fuzzy early morning glare over the landscape is so soft and beautiful! I can picture myself sipping a hot cup of coffee on the porch of my farm house over looking the fields!

I hope some of these talented artist have inspired you to paint, draw or print! Or maybe just buy some Art! Have a beautiful Thursday!

Today I would like to give a quick shout out to some of my favorite items this week.
I seriously need to win the lotto so I can go on a shopping spree!
Lets start off with these "Woodsy Shrooms" by CrashCanStudio.
I adore these little cuties! I love the fabric choices and their primitive nature!
These guys need to be on a green..no maybe red shelve in my studio!
Next is this amazing piece by Somethingshidinghere. They cut up real paint by number scenes into the shape of the united states! How cool is that! It makes me feel like packing up and moving to a log cabin in the woods! Their shop is filled with unique and simple designs perfect for achieving that modern folk style!

Now this t-shirt makes me smile! I love beards, and these gents say it all! Show your love for beards and anti-war with this fun tee by SecretLovers.

Happy shopping!

Hi! It's Thursday and I am happy the week is almost over! The weather has been so nice the last day or so, that it triggered a "spring cleaning"marathon in my house :) It is hard keeping stuff organized with the renovation of my house still going on. So after going through items no longer needed and cleaning up my craft supplies I decided to do a quick tribute to the resourceful re-purpose artist!
Here are some great ideas from some Etsy artist who have put a new spin on recycling!
1. Large Circuit board clip boards by DebbyAremDesigns.
2. Gear head messenger bag by Crafterella made from fused trash bags! How cool is that!
3. Soda earrings by MademoiselleLemieux made from ..you guessed it soda cans!

(Above: pin cushion made from recycled fabric clippings)
I have been really trying to reduce the garbage my family produces lately. When you stop and think about things before you throw them away, it really starts to open your eyes. There are so many things that can be recycled, re-used, or re-purposed. I started putting a bag next to my desk about 3 months ago to catch all the fabric, thread, felt and other sewing clippings. It is truly amazing how much of these clippings I have saved! I have been recycling these clippings by using them as stuffing for pin cushions, sachets, and other reusable items. (Below: bag of clippings from the past month!)

Have a lovely Thursday everyone!

I have many addictions!
Etsy is feeding my addictions too fabric, weird kitch and Art. One of these addictions is near and dear to my heart...Art. If you did not know I am not only a pouch sewing nut. I paint, draw, and when studio space is available..pottery. These are my loves that I rarely get to do, but hope to have more time and space for in the future. So until my dream life comes true I do like to show my love to other artist!
Here is a vintage 3-d postcard that I just had to own from Shop66 ! I find it creepy and cute all at the same time..perfect combination :) It reminds me of these weird books I had as a child with 3-d covers of the little red riding hood! I can't wait to get a funky frame and hang it in my studio!

One of my favorite artist on Etsy is BettyTurbo! I love here crazy retro style prints! There are so many to choose from and I can't wait until I redo my kitchen to adorn it with BettyTurbo! I did purchase this awesome Meat card to hold of my Betty cravings until then :)
♥♥

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Oh and Happy Memorial Day!

♥ Happy Valentines Day♥
I hope everyone got sweets surprises from their loved ones :)
My DH is still out of town, but he returns tonight! He did leave me a huge box of chocolates!! Yum! I did not touch them until last night ( Had 3 with tea while watching Project Runway!). ♥♥♥
I wanted to share this Large mason jar with you! I am so excited about it!!!
I am very picky about weird things..like conatiners. I had this mind set for a large tapered top mason jar for my baking flour. But sadley I could not find one I liked :(
Until yesterday!!! I found this lovely in the consignment shop down the road!
I just had to have it! The best yet was the jar wa son sale!! I only paid $1.30 for it! I am sure this is pretty boring to most, but I was just too excited!
In other news..The river outside my apartment is very high and icey!
We have a flood warning ( and oh yes it has flooded before).
I have to say I will miss the river when we move. I like sitting on the
couch early in the morning with a cup of coffee watching the river.

Best get back to work.
I hope everyone has a lovely Valentines Day!

Hi all! I know it has been a while since I last updated, I am sorry!
I am really going to try and keep on my toes and make sure things get back to normal. It has been slow in the shop, which gave me some much needed time to catch up on my B&M accounts. There is some news here on the home front.
Me and the DH have been house hunting for some time now.
I think it has finally happened! If everything goes well me and all
the ity bags will be moving to a new town. This will all not take
place until February and I will keep everyone updated!
Above is a new ity-bity Bag that I have not yet posted!Little boombox should make an appearance some time today! I am so excited about some new items that will slowly be peeking into the shop this spring!
Like my new Card sets! This set is the "three of a kind" cherries card set.
My first in the series of blank note cards and other
paper goods to make their way to ityland!
There are some ideas rolling around in my head that I wish
I had more time and money to do the all!

Well I guess I should be off promoting, sewing and taking care of
the little ity that is patiently watching Pinky Dinky do, but really wants to play puzzles with Mama ity!
Have a lovely Monday everyone!

Wow, it has been a crazy month!
Thanks to all the wonderful ity fans for all your support! It was a fun
and busy season, but I am glad I got to share it with everyone! I hope all
of you had a wonderful holiday. I got so many great gifts from Santa, I thought I
would share a couple with you!
Santa stashed in my stocking this oh so lovely Dot Dot Ring by Brooke Medlin of Gemmafactrix.
I have been visiting it for some time and am so please to now own it!
This painting "Emma and the Hornet god" by Opticwaste I have been swooning over!!!
I was so excited to find it snuggled under the tree! I can not wait to hang it somewhere special!! What a glorious Christmas!!!
I also got this sweet pair of delicate blue flower earrings from my favorite
earring designer jeweledMonkey .
I love all of her vintage inspired flavor that appears in every pair! So, I have to say I had a wonderful Christmas! It was lovely and quiet and stuffed full of yummy treats!

Happy Wednesday!

Well after a nice amount of sales on Monday I was pretty busy in the studio! I will have to get sewing again this weekend to catch up for the holidays!

In honor of this great article in the Storque on Etsy on bundling..I've decided to make a bundle just for you !

Here are my three little sweet mini pouches ready for the holidays! They will be listed in my shop later today!!! I think they are perfect as one gift or you could break them up, giving one to each friend!

"Man vs the beast"
This Pouch was made for my DH!
I thought it came out so wonderfully lovely that I submitted into the Sublime Stitching Holiday contest! Wish me luck my friends!

Happy Tuesday Ity friends!
It is pretty rainy and dark here on the home front. I don't mind the rain, but I hate when everything is dark and gray. Well this week has been picking up speed at the shop. I think once everyone gets turkey off the brain Etsy sellers are going to get swamped! I am pleased that many of my Christmas gifts will be from Etsy this year!
I think I am in love..............
I swoon over everything in this shop! The entire idea of it all is so beautiful! The colors chosen, the whimsical etchings, and now the felted animals! I wish I could fill my house with all the lovelies spilling from this shop!
This little golden girl holding a golden fox reminds me of little red riding hood!
A copy of her now resides in my home, just waiting to be framed!

Oh and don't get me started on this mouse!
I love him so! Maybe Santa will bring him to come live with me!
He is so life like I am just waiting for him to scamper away!

Two Brown Birds print reminds me of the wind in the willows
or a Jan Svankmajer film. I love the beautiful yet uneasy feeling from
many of the work found in this shop!
Oh how I'd liked to dream in the images of ohmycavalier!
Well I guess that is enough dreaming for today! Off I go to finish my morning chores on this rainy Tuesday!

Happy snowy Monday everyone!
Today we had the first snow fall of the season! It was beautiful watching those big fluffy flakes fall from the sky. Every year whenever I see snow fall for the first time..I still get that giddy little girl feeling!
I have some sweet little critter gals now available in my shop! This is a completely new edition to Ity-bity Bags. I have always made dolls and stuffed critters but I could never part with them. So with out further adieu I introduce Sophie and Alice! They are nestled in my shop right now! So go and take a peek!

Happy Friday
Thanks goodness Friday is finally here! This weeks has been so busy and full of fuss! Many orders to fill and chores to fulfill before the holidays arrive. This week in the shop I have added some new little lovely pouches for someone sweet! Above is the two little birds pouch. I love this pouch! It reminds me of the decorations that adorn the Amish barns.
I also made and will probably list today this cute little
kitten pouch! I usually don't make a lot of kitty bags, so this is a special addition. I love how he is so simple compared to some of my more funky pouches.
I think I can hear him purrring!
Oh I almost forgot! I added to the shop yesterday this ity-bity nest brooch! It was quite hard to make but it all came together in the end. I almost kept it for my very self, but new it should go to a new home to hatch!
Have a wonderful Friday my little acorns!

Hello out there in Ity world! Sorry I did not update yesterday, but it has been a busy couple of days. The shop had many orders to fulfill, but now I think finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Today I am feeling a bit under the weather ...so my post will be kind of short.
I am so excited that Thanksgiving is only a week away!!! As a family tradition we have Thanksgiving at the Grandparents house every year. I am in charge of making the pies (apple & pumpkin) and the roasted butternut squash! I can't wait to stuff myself silly and visit with family.
My head today is stuffed with unhappy sniffles..so I have decided to List a couple of great movies I just recently viewed!
Happy Wednesday!
