Spring has sprung!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while! It has been crazy (shops, health, etc...). I hope everyone is enjoying some form of Spring weather! It has been unseasonably warm here this week, and even though I know it won't last...it stills feels good :) The Sun always gets me in the mood to clean everything. That's what I really enjoy about the season, Spring cleaning!

I have been hard at work applique, knitting, sewing, and doodling. It has been a very productive Winter. I plan on having many new things popping up as the year goes on. But for now I am busy like a bee! So I hope you all have a sweet as can be weekend, and enjoy my little cherries that I hope to eat on some chocolate cake tonight :)

Lovely finds....

I found this really wonderful set of vintage robin juice glasses at the local thrift store! I fell in love ass soon as I saw them. They are perfect! I kind of did one of those rush over, look around, can't believe someone hasn't swiped these up kind of weirdness. I thought these would be a lovely reminder of the robins nesting on our porch this past Spring. Now they sit all pretty in my cupboard waiting for my orange juice. I have already warned the other inhabitants of my home what will ensue if these are broken!

Well off I go with much work ahead of me this week. I hope to share some VERY exciting news with all of you soon!

Well its that time of week again! Last week I got all caught up in family matters (not the tv show) and forgot all about diy Tuesday. But I am back this week with a fun recipe for the young and the old. With the economy pinching your every penny, sometimes it is nice to make a homemade gift or just something homemade for fun! So get your kids, your friends or just your creative juices flowing with this quick and nostalgic project.

Make your own Play dough

Ingredients;

1cp flour

1/2 cp salt

3Tbs veggie oil

1/3 cp colored water (I used 15-18 drops of food coloring)

Step 1) In a small bowl mix flour,salt, oil with spoon.

Step 2) Add colored water to this dry mixture and knead dough with your hands. Add more oil for dry dough, or more flour for wet dough.

Step 3) Your done! Just make sure to put your dough in air tight containers in the fridge. They last a couple of weeks and are sure to be a fun filled gift!

Play dough also makes great Easter gifts instead of all that candy!

Hi! Its Tuesday again and that means it is DIY tutorial Tuesday! So today I am feeling rather down in the dumps. It is gloomy just a all around ick kind of day. So I have picked a project that makes me think of Spring and all the fun things one can find on a sunny stroll through the woods.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Mine was spent sewing and puttering around the house. The sun has finally decided to show its face and it has made me very happy. I don't enjoy the Hot, but I love the sun if that makes any sense? Anyways, it puts me in the mood for cleaning out clutter and organization. It also helps me jump start work and projects I have going on. I wish the weekends stayed a while longer. It feels like they go out with the breeze...

Here are some lovely garments I found while browsing this weekend. They are both from Tulle and I adore them! To be truthful almost everything in this shop is amazing! Just looking at these lovelies has kick started me into exercise to rid of those winter chunkies. The retro feel just makes me swoon!

So stop on over to Tulle and take a wonder, you will not be disappointed!
