Busy buzzing bee
So as usual the studio is an utter wreck. I am a very messy worker bee, but like to begin with a clean work space. Tomorrow before anything, I will be sorting and cleaning my work table. I know I should not be that messy, but no matter how much I try the end result is the same.

Here is a little snippet of one of my new fabrics. I am still tweaking it, but I am very pleased with what I already have done. I am thinking of many cute things to make with this print. So excited! I do have a couple more new designs, but need to make some extra monies before spending it all on fabric. Besides all the craftiness that is swirling about my head, only one thing on the mind...Thanksgiving! I enjoy cooking, so needless to say I love Thanksgiving. This week will be a whirlwind of squash, potatoes, cranberries, Apple and pumpkin pies! Can't wait to gobble them all up come Thursday! After Thanksgiving I will have some more cuteness to share, but for now have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Jackpot.....
I hope everyone is getting ready for the 4th of July fun filled weekend! We are having a family get together at our home. So today will consist of cooking, cleaning, and some quiet time (down time before the impending ruckus). Because I live on a gigantic hill we can see the fireworks right in our backyard!
This week has been pretty stress filled and I can't wait for the weekend eating and laziness to begin.
(above) Yesterday I hit one of the local thrift shops and came across this loveliness! I had to give them a home right away! I have no idea what it is, maybe a toy of some kind. It is hand carved and from Canada. Its a fox and a bear sitting a log looking like they are about to eat! They are now sitting in my dining room window! Hurray for 2nd hand finds!
(Below) I also wanted to share my new fabric "Coffee break"! I designed it a while back, but decided to finally make it into fabric. I hurried and sewed up a pouch super quick I was so excited (now in the shop). I think it came out pretty cute :)

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Busy, busy as a bee...
I have been busy lately with lots of little projects. My mind is always racing and I think of new and exciting little bits to make everyday! The hard part is keeping everything going smoothly and not getting off coarse.
I have been working on for a while on little sewing kits for the shop. I made one for myself about a year ago, and also sold similar little sewing pouches ( but not pincushion). I think this little duo came out lovely! You can take a peak here or sneak on over to the shop to check out this little guy and more lovelies in the shop!
I am so very excited to share this next tid bit! I have been feverishly working on some patterns this last couple of weeks of all kinds of genres. Some are cute and fun, some are whimsical and wonderful! Here is the first batch of my cute smiley food patterns all on my very own fabric! Yes, you heard right! My own fabric! I am so head or heels for this idea that I am sure you will love them too! I hope to start making some yummy little pouches in the coming days, so do check back!

The one thing good about running your own indie business is you have to be a jack of all trades. I mean literally. When every dime of your budget counts, most jobs are left up to you. I find myself learning new techniques, programs and all kinds of info all the time. It also helps your business grow and blossom. That all being said, here are my new Luchador labels. I have been working on them for months trying to get them just right. I decided on this simple graphic card. I made all the art work in photoshop and printed them on a heavy stock on my photo printer. Each Luchador even has a blank name plate, all ready for you to name them! I rather like how they came out. Pretty nifty!

That's all for today. I must get back to my work. I do promise some yummy recipes, and starting this month...DIY How to's!

Cheers for now!
