Lazy Days...
I am still trying to beat this darn cold! It has been kicking my butt for over a week. My Son (the germ infested pip) has it too. I have tried every conceivable cold medication out there, nothing works against this mutant. I guess it is back to old remedies, Chicken soup don't fail me now!

I decided to post some awesome finds on Etsy that I am really lovin right now!
The Scottie letter holder is soo amazing. I wish I had scooped it up first!
Well enjoy and happy Etsy hunting!

Hello Tuesday...
This week so far has brought shopping, snow, rain, sunny days, eureka moments, and a head cold. Wait, you say its only Tuesday? How could that all happen by the 2nd day of the week?
It's all true I say!
This week was suppose to be the week that I got a head start on the pending projects and errands. Instead I got sick. Just my luck! Sore throat, headache, stuffy nose, now a cough that could wake a drugged raver!
Looking at the bright side to all of this (under the dirty tissues) I got to break in my new slippers! Santa dropped them off on Christmas and they are AMAZING! They are from LLBean, and are super comfy! I love you slippers!

Here lays my mess.
I still can't wait to finally move into my studio. Maybe this Summer will bring promise :)

I have been kind of down in the dumps lately. Between the germs floating around our house, and finding out my Son is allergic to everything, it has been a little stressful. So in order to keep my spirits high I decided to post some of my favs on Etsy lately. I have really weird taste, that doesn't always go together. I think I have style schizophrenia

Happy Tuesday!
It has been a crazy weekend and past week. I was waiting for my MRI results and feeling rather jittery! But I am glad to say nothing seems bad enough to kill me :P
I did manage to do some Antique shop snooping! I found a really awesome little local antique shop! It was filled with all kinds of goodies that I wish I could buy. I did scoop up these lovelies.

Starting clockwise from the top. The table cloth is from the 50's and is adorable! It has hand sewn little embroideries of cherries! I love it, even though I have no idea where I am going to put it? Next is this also handmade little pair of knickers! I think it is suppose to be a pot holder, but I am not sure. I personally think they will look lovely hanging in my studio :) And last this cute little book called "Whitie: the bunny who's wish came true" I love the illustrations and colors! And as you can see apparently I was on a red/white kick! HA!

Well I am off to do some much needed sewing. I have fallen behind due to all this health craziness! Stay cozy my loves and I will sneak back soon!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but the family has been trying to kick a bug! Your should I say everyone else kicked the bug but me :( I have been sick now since last Friday and only seem to be getting worse! Who gets a cold in summer anyway? Yuck! So anyway...Nothing new to really report but I have been shopping lately! So below you will find items I have recently purchased and love! Check them out! Here are all my lovely purchases starting with this amazing painting by Artist Harry Stooshinoff. I love it! It is titled: "into the valley" and it reminds me of the beautiful landscapes of upstate NY (even though he resides in Canada). Soon this beauty will be hanging in my living room! If you would like to purchase one of Harry's amazing pieces stop on over to his online shop Paintbox.

I also recently purchased some awesome soap and lip balm from Volta for my friend Mandi's birthday (Happy Birthday Mandi!). It arrived and I was smitten! I really had to hold myself back from keeping the soap for myself :) The lavender & lemongrass smelled so yummy I wanted to eat it! I also loved how the lip balm came in a tin ( my friend and I have a weird fascination with little boxes). I will defiantly be back to this shop for holiday gifts!

Alright this is kind of a funny purchase :) My son who is going to be 3yrs loves worms! He digs huge holes in our backyard and pulls out "wormies" and carries them around the yard! So when I saw handsewns super worm, I knew this was perfect for him (he loves superheros too)! I immediately emailed the lovely and sweet handsewn herself and asked for a custom order of three super wormies! To my surprise they were ready and waiting for my shopping cart the very next day! These little wormies make great gifts, prizes or even decor for any child!

Ok that's all for today. I have to get some cold meds and a nice cup of tea brewing!

Happy Wednesday!!!!
It has been a long week and it is only Wednesday. So much has been going on over here. Hmmm...where to begin! Well besides being sick since last Tuesday and attending a funeral it really hasn't been a happy past week! But on a better note, Spring has arrived! It has been warm, sunny and all the plants are a blooming! I have been out doing yard work for days hoping the sun will help my congestion..but no luck :( What kind of freak form of virus do I have? Blah!

One Thing I got accomplished was this terrarium. I had been hunting around looking for the perfect jar to house my little cacti! I think this one works pretty well! Now it's home is the center of my dining room table! I love it!! I think I may even make another!

Because yesterday was Earth day I thought I may share a little bit of things I do to try to make less waste around my house. I recycle all of my cans, glass, plastic, magazines and newspapers. I am also starting a small compost heap in my backyard to further cut down our trash. We use cloth napkins and dish towels instead of paper napkins and paper towels. And I recently started a "no waste" policy in my studio! I keep all scrap fabric to use in patch work projects or just small projects. I also re-use all the fabric, zipper, and thread cut offs by shredding them and making them into filler for pillows, pincushions, and sachets! Ok enough about me, I would love to hear any great ideas, and or things that you and your family do to recycle and re-use! Please post them in the comments below :)

Have a lovely day!
